Cookie Policy

Last updated: January 2025

1. What This Policy Covers

This policy explains how Simpliù uses browser storage technologies (localStorage, IndexedDB, and session storage) to operate the platform. We do not use traditional tracking cookies or any third-party advertising cookies.

2. What We Store

Authentication Tokens (Essential)

Session tokens are stored in your browser's IndexedDB by AWS Cognito. These are required to keep you signed in and cannot be disabled.

Session Activity (Essential)

A timestamp in localStorage tracks your last activity for the 30-minute inactivity timeout. This is a security measure to protect your account.

Theme Preference (Functional)

Your dark/light mode preference is saved in localStorage so it persists between visits.

3. What We Don't Use

We do not use:

  • Third-party tracking or advertising cookies
  • Analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel)
  • Cross-site tracking of any kind
  • Fingerprinting or similar identification techniques

4. Managing Browser Storage

You can clear localStorage and IndexedDB through your browser's developer tools or settings. Note that clearing authentication data will sign you out and require you to log in again.

5. Updates

We may update this policy as our platform evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
